HORSEBACK RIDING LESSONS AT EMPRESS ARABIANS

We have designed the lesson program at Empress Arabians to help horse and rider best achieve their equestrian goals. Our lesson program can be customized to maximize learning, enjoyment and fun and they are always implemented with safety as the foremost consideration. Our motivational approach to teaching allows the rider to believe in their ability to accomplish their goals, from riding at home to competing at a national level.
Lessons are available for all ages and skill levels. You do not have to own your own horse in order to take lessons with us. We can provide you with a schooling horse suited to your experience level. We offer half-hour private and semi-private sessions.

LESSON DIRECTOR/INSTRUCTOR, COLLEEN WERNER
|
Colleen Werner has been riding and showing Arabian horses since she was nine years old. She recognized her passion for teaching while still in high school when she assisted teaching riding lessons on a weekly basis and facilitated activities at annual summer horse camps. Colleen attended William Woods University where she studied Equestrian Science with an emphasis on teaching and coaching and rode under the guidance of Jennifer Petterson, Karen Pautz and Gayle Lampe. While at William Woods Colleen was a member of the U.S. Arabian National Collegiate Judging team and received a Top Ten individual placement in 2006. Experienced in Hunt Seat, Western, Saddle Seat and Dressage, Colleen did her internship at Empress Arabians in the summer of 2007. In the spring of 2008 Colleen accepted a full time position as part of the Training staff at Empress and debuted as the Lesson Director and Instructor of our Learn-To-Ride program in the spring of 2009.
Colleen exhibits the knowledge and professionalism required to encourage each student to learn and progress according to their own individual abilities in order to achieve their personal goals.
HORSEMANSHIP CAMPS/SCOUTING BADGES

Empress Arabians will work with your organization’s leader to formulate a program designed for your specific requirements to earn your horsemanship badge. Whether you need a field trip, instruction or just recreation we can help you plan a visit which will enable your troop to work toward your specific objectives. Our private horseback riding lessons are a wonderful option to earn Phys Ed credits for students currently attending Cyber School. Contact your educational administrator.
